An additional way to transform the desktop wallpaper in Windows is to open up the Personalize alternative on the desktop (called Residence in Windows XP). To do this, do the following:.
Right-click on the desktop and choose Personalize. (Or in the Windows 10 menu, go to Settings > Personalization > Background.).
In Windows 8/7/Vista with Control board's Personalization applet, and in Windows XP via the Display Control board applet.
Under the Background dropdown, choose Picture.
You can decide to use a pre-loaded picture from Microsoft or choose Browse to find a different image on your disk drive.
You can also choose if you want the picture to fit, stretch, or load the display, or perhaps for it to be tiled, focused, or spanned across several displays.
Some versions of Windows have added options here, like automatically changing the desktop wallpaper after so-many seconds, which comes in useful if you do not want to work out with just one history.
